Ancient Digger is Officially One Year and 20 Days Old

How I missed this momentous event, I have no idea. Too much writing and blogging, and not enough paying attention to when I actually started my adventure.

I am so very grateful to all of you for hanging in there with me with all of the changes in content and templates. It's been a rocky road I must say, but without all of you, I would have never been able to make it through.

Over the past year, I have managed to maintain my grades, making the President's List for the past two years. I have blogged until I actually needed glasses, but I really do like them now. I feel so intellectual...Sorry, back to writing.

I have also met so many interesting and wonderfully supportive people on the Ancient Digger. I can't tell you how much I have learned from all of you, and I so much appreciate you following me over the past year.

I would like to leave the floor open for any suggestions that all of you might have. I know in the past I have posted some polls about post frequency and the subject content. I really appreciate your opinions and I certainly want to make sure I post subjects you actually want to read about.

As you know, this is learning process for me as well. Once I start learning about a particular subject, I tend to post my findings in their entirety for all of you. Of course, I know you could find the same type of information on the web in a different form, but I hope I have been able to represent it in a way that makes it a bit more to the point and understandable.

So, to that end, I am going to be buying myself a new type of technology to start capturing a bit of a different perspective for all of you. Instead of writing a special edition every week, I thought I would include some video as well. If that's alright with all of you?

Tomorrow I will be picking up an ink cartridge-don't ask how that has anything to do with my post-and a new camera/video recorder. I hope to travel to some of the local forts around Florida that you may not be as familiar with.

Again, I love all of you and I love this site. My goal is to really branch out with the Ancient Digger and turn it into a sort of Discovery of NatGeo. If any of you have an interest in becoming a part of this endeavor, I would love to speak with you.

Additionally, if any of you would like to contribute articles or be guest writers, please leave me a message in the comment section. I am always supportive of sharing knowledge with all, and I'm certainly open to all of your opinions and expertise.

Happy blogoversary! I can't believe it has only been one year??!! I thought I knew you for much longer!

I often ponder too that people could find my information on "Passion to Understand" on the net. But how? The point is that your blog is varied and interesting and people can find it all in one place.

The only possible suggestion I do have is that when you post links to other people's work, vut down o the quotes and tell us why you find it interesting. You write really well and I think you'll find people ar really interested in your opinions!

Lauren,
Congrats on your first year here( and 20 days )!
I have enjoyed your sites a lot and I always look for you on mine.I think you have some good ideas here. I would like to contribute to your site with articles of findings that would be consistent with your theme.Possibly we can trade info from time to time? You can email me directly if you like.
Also congrats on being consistent with making "President's List"!
I hope we can develop our friendship over the coming year.
Thanks for all of your work here.

@Emm

I agree with you. I love to write, and I certainly like to voice my opinion. I will make sure I voice it a bit more often from now on.

Oh, Friends Revolution is actually over two years old, so I think we known each other since then.

@Icy

Thanks Icy. I think you and I may know each other the longest, from I triond I believe. Thanks so much for keeping in touch.

@Bo

You know I love ya. I know I'm not around that much at triond anymore, but you know you can ask me anything.

@Carl

I would love to trade ideas. So many of your discoveries are in places I have yet to investigate. Do I have your email already?
