In the Footsteps of Alexander the Great

I was actually shown this video in a history class and I was quite moved and inspired by the reign of Alexander the Great, hence the reason I have been focusing on him the last few weeks.

Have really enjoyed the Alexander journey you've presented. The videos are a great addition.
Did you see the Oliver Stone, Colin Farrell/Angelina Jolie epic?
After reading your posts and watching the BBC videos, I have to ask myself once again, "What was Stone thinking?!"
Hollywood will always be Hollywood, but really, they made the movie in 2003 not 1933!
They should have had someone like you around as a consultant from the get-go.

Thanks so much for the comment and I have to agree with you. The Oliver Stone version was so horrible I actually walked out of the movie theater. I have no idea what they were thinking.

It's a movie, guys and Lauren! It's a movie. You expected maybe historical accuracy from Hollywood?

Sharon,

No I didn't expect anything from Hollywood, although some of the directors, like in the case of the movie 300 and the Spartans, really hit the historical facts on the head.

BBC usually does a great job, probably because they take the time they need to get the story correct instead of shoving it into too small a time frame. They also seem to get all the views so they are not one sided.

Time-lapse Reconstruction of Eodromaeus, the "Dawn Runner"

On January 13, 2011, a team of Argentinian and American researchers announced the discovery of a lanky dinosaur that roamed South America in search of prey as the age of dinosaurs began, approximately 230 million years ago. Sporting a long neck and tail and weighing only 10 to 15 pounds, the new dinosaur has been named Eodromaeus, the "dawn runner."
