The Many Misconceptions About the Bible: A Video Outlook

Modern people have many misconceptions about the Bible, which was a social commentary written and revised over a considerable period of time. I must admit, I am one of those modern thinkers, part of the time at least, who believes that ideals dealing with faith can sometimes be skewed when it comes to written texts.

So what do you think about these interpretations in the video? Do you believe what is written or do you rely on reason to form your ideals?

I hope you and your family has a wonderful Holiday. I wanted to comment, because even though I come by your great blog daily, I don't always comment. Of course I have to pick this post to comment on. Even though I always stay alway from politics and religion.

So my one and only comment on this post it this:.

While the Bible is by far one of the most influential and greatest books ever printed by mankind. It is just that a book that was written by many authors and being such has many different translations and meanings by everyone who reads it. If people who do read it, just try and live by the basic principles that are written, this world would be a much better place to live.

But misconceptions are easy to talk about in a book conceived by again more then one author and taken out of context many times by many different sects. I am going to watch the video now. Thanks for all the great work you do here on this wonderful blog, Glenn

Interesting video, very thought provoking. I personally think the Bible is an incredible historical document that has profound truths about God but also about humanity in general.

Thanks so much for the holiday wishes and yes, I do agree with you that the Bible was written by so many people that it's easy to have so many skewed opinions.

@Rebecca

There is no doubt in my mind that the Bible is a huge piece of history. Although I may not agree with many aspects of what is written, I still think we can gain some incredible incite into history from the pages within.
