I know we typically speak about history and archaeology on the Ancient Digger, but I wanted to share with you a bit of news. My language teacher had previously mentioned that she was looking into a resort called Breezes for some affordable family vacations for the summer, and she was considering Spain and Brazil as options for her family vacation destinations. My professor wanted to plan a sort of family vacation for both her classes and her family, and thought what better way for us to practice our language skills. So we took a vote, Brazil or Spain?Brazil was the chosen destination and I was thrilled because that was secretly my first choice. In fact, my primary reason for wanting to go to Brazil was to visit the Amazon Stonehenge, and as far as what little I have read about the site, was that it was very similar to Stonehenge in England. Many believe it was used as an astronomical observatory and the culture that once held ceremonies there was quite sophisticated.
I know this is going to be a challenge to fit into my budget for the summer, but I believe if I can find some family vacation packages at the Breezes Resort to actually afford this trip for myself and my fiancé, I really think this will be an amazing cultural experience for me. We will be staying at the Breezes Costa do SauÃpe, which is situated on the eastern coast outside the Caribbean. Not only are we close to several cave ecosystems, the rain-forest, the Rio, the Amazon, and the breathtaking Iguassu Falls, but we will be situated near some of the most pristine beaches in the world. It’s all too amazing to pass up.
