Some of the most spectacular can be found in remote areas with rugged terrain and an under-developed infrastructure. Read more about rope suspension bridges in Nicks full article, pictures included.
I do indeed remember that scene. I also remember back farther, when the excitement and suspense of such a bridge would appear on the Old Tarzan movies. There was always someone on the other side trying to cut it.

But wow, with my fear of heights, just looking at PHOTOS of these gives me major stomach knots!! the courage to actually use them, to cross them? No way!
ReplyDeleteI loooove the suspension bridge scene in Indiana Jones: Temple of Doom!
ReplyDeleteWhat a great post. You lead an interesting and exciting life. :D
I swung over from Bob's blog.
Cheers! JJ
While it looks suspenseful and somewhat inviting it does seem a bit too precarious for my taste. Love the photos though.
ReplyDeleteI would love to try traveling across a suspension bridge. I wonder if I would have the nerve to do it when I got there.
